It's called a "cult," it's a well-known kind of negative social phenomenon.
Such aren't always explicitly religious, take the "anonymous is leejun" thing for example.
Basically any fad that takes itself waaaaay too seriously can be a cult.
What bothers me about this one is how much stuff they borrow from everywhere and then
