  I stopped watching after it kept switching between wanting to say a small commuter plane hit it
  or a missile did.

  Saying a plane hitting a building sounds "like a missile" is the same mentality of people near

  alright, fist of all the physics involved explain why the hole is the shape it is and why most of
  the debris from the plane are INSIDE the building not outside. The planes people saw were in the
  area the white commuter was asked by flight controllers to investigate the site and the jet

  First.. It hit the Pentagon. Other than Cheyenne Mountain(NORAD) there's probably no other
  military installation more over-designed to withstand any conventional attack.

  You've got to understand.. An airplane just isn't designed as a weapon. Sure, its big, fast, and
  full of jet fuel.. but its just not designed to do anything more stressful than take off or land.

  When was the last time a 747 was crashed into a hardened military installation? Usually these
  planes aren't even crashed. Some asshole blows himself up in coach and the plane disintegrates in
  the air quickly or slowly, and is spread out like chaff over some fucking pasture. Or due to
  lightning or gremlins the planes loses altitude in a slow almost controlled decline with the
  pilots fighting them the entire way.

  They just get torn to shreds because they're ONLY DESIGNED TO TAKE OFF AND LAND. NOT SURVIVE
