GOD TIER:
Mario - Can clear levels faster and more efficiently than any other character. Best controls
overall.
HIGH TIER:
Bill Rizer - Shoots in all directions, can duck while shooting. Weapon fires really fucking fast.
Link - Half-height at all stages, boomerang can pick up items and stuns enemies, sword
effectively 1-shots enemies with Fire Flower.
MID TIER:
Simon - Whip is the strongest weapon by far, can double jump, can throw weapons in an arc that no
other weapon can emulate. However you cannot control jumps in mid-air.
LOW TIER:
Samus - Nearly worthless attack without Mushroom/Fire-Flower and bombs are impractical to use.
However morph-ball is useful simply for the fact it makes you as small as little mario and
bomb-jumping.
Megaman - Has no useful special abilities except slide. Fire Flower is only barely stronger than
the no-upgrades form.

I wanna point out simon's double jump can change direction in mid-air despite not being able to
control your basic jumps. He's hard to play, but rewarding.
Simon is one of the better characters if you're REALLY fucking good at platformers simply because
double jump allows you clear levels quicker than anyone except mario.

so far, bill is best due to each upgrade having a great attack style. get a mushroom and he
shoots fast and you just hold down the attack button. get the fireflower and he shots a spread
shot.

levels.

Bill's the best. He may be slower, but he destroys all the blocks and baddies in his way, making
up in points. Also, Lakitu is easier to kill.
