  I'm fine with people who have an interest in anthropomorphic animals and stuff, as long as they
  keep it to themselves. I'd even go so far to say that any fandom, no matter how strange or
  perverse, is fine to adopt, provided that you keep your own shit to yourself or other people of
  the fandom. However, "furries" are pretentious people with loose grips on how society functions,
  and reality as a whole. They feel the need to invent a minority to fit in.

  Think about another weird fetish, like a foot fetish. What if every once in a while you just got
  swarmed with 5 or 6 flashes about feet. And then when you tell them to stop they keep telling you
  why you're being intolerant and actively trying to assert why they're a normal part of society.

  Imagine people dressing up like feet. Imagine people thinking they are feet. Imagine this
  community NEVER STOPS babbling about how they're 'normal people just like you or me' even if you
  hadn't asked, and then bringing up a ton of strawman arguments about shit I've never heard of
  (some say you have to kill someone to have a foot fetish. This is entirely false).

  Furries, on the other hand, often publicly declare themselves to be as such, and wear it as a
  badge. I personally knew a furry at my last high school who sewed a "furry" badge onto his
  jacket, and wore the same jacket every day.

  To reiterate, you can do whatever the fuck you want to in the privacy of your own home or with
  those who share common interests, but for the sake of those around you, don't bring it into a
  social situation.
