A human society without a monetary system is essentially impossible. Everything has a worth to
individuals. Without money there would simply be a bartering system. But a bartering system is
hardly fair as it is incredibly difficult to make even transactions without some means to "fill
in the gaps". Whether this means is gold coins, paper bills, or simply extra corn, eventually a
device will come into place that each person can agree on having a worth that for all intents and
purposes counts as goods. That device will then become currency. There is no escaping currency
unless the human being can escape greed which itself can be argued to stem from our desire to
survive.
TL;DR Human kind cannot escape currency unless we abandon our will to survive, however at that
point we will simply cease to survive rendering the argument pointless.
