The one thing I hate about this game is it was trying too hard to have a Braid-esque pretentious
twist at the end. And it just came out of fucking nowhere. There's no hidden symbolism, no deeper
meaning, no AHA! moment, nothing. Just LOL TWIST BET YOU DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING!

It's not trying to be a twist at all. All the text in the game points to it.

I like the exposition of the game, and the idea that only you, yourself, can help yourlsef to get
through the game. And if the "yourselfves" seem redundant, this is hardly the case in the game
where it is all but a shadowy figure of yourself, recapitulating your history just as you left
it. The ending itself is kind of fun, although it is not expected.
