It's mostly based on where the circles are at the beginning.

Also, let it think it has a chance to get away.
Leave one little hole in your wall, and as it makes a break for it, continue building the wall to
either side. Once it gets close to the chink in your defenses, fill it in and it won't be able to
get out again before you've got it cornered.
