  Folks, I don't know how this board works, but I do have a question.

  I want to put a song in a flash video, and I want it to continue until the video ends.

  Create a new layer, drag sound to it. Adjust frame sound properties (MP3 / 96kbs / Streaming)

  Import the music into the library.

  Click the first frame in the timeline.

  Look for a "properties" tab for the selected frame.

  In the "sound" section, select the imported audio in the name drop-down.

  Then select Start in the Sync drop down.

  Make sure the audio is set to "Loop" in the final drop down just below the Sync drop down.

  BONUS KNOWLEDGE:

  Now click the background (an empty spot).

  The properties tab is now for the flash itself (not the frame). Select "Publish Settings".

  Click on the text to the right of the "Audio event" label.

  Sound Settings opens up. Make sure it's MP3 compression. Set bit rate to 128 Kbps. Untick the
  "preprocessing" option (do not convert stereo to mono). Make sure the quality is "Fast". Fast
  actually gives the best audio, especially when an audio is looping.

  Hit OK and then OK again. Done. Now the song will loop for as long as the flash is open AND it
  will have good quality (important since it's 2011 for Christ's sake).

  Note that the audio will keep looping like a pro even if the flash timeline repeats and the flash
  starts over again. The audio will NOT start playing again (it won't overlay itself) since the
  Sync is "Start".

  Also I'll mention that what I wrote applies to Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 (or just CS5).

  to use loop then. only use streaming if the audio MUST sync 100% with the visual content in the
  flash

  using streaming audio will add bytes to the flash if the audio repeats.
