I won't say it's convince me to stop, but it has convince me to slowdown. I don't think I'm
suffering from any type of addiction but I probably look too much.

I have my own business, pretty gf, and I get on a fairly regular basis . I wish my gf was over

Still going to play vids and watch porn at the expense of my real life.

Why fucking bother with real life if it doesn't provide the same reward for much more effort?

>> [_] Anonymous 10/20/12(Sat)09:24 No.1789349

  >>1789342

  Consider this:
You can consume a McDouble that costs $1, or you can consume a steak that costs $12. For the sake
of argument, let's say they both fill you up equally. By the logic of "why should I do what
requires more effort for the same reward", you'd buy McDoubles every day of your life and become
a fatass, and never experience something better because you thought "it's not worth the effort",
when in reality steak is more satisfying than McDoubles and real sex is more satisfying than porn.

Fuck, I think I should quit porn too now. Dammit.

am i the only one to comment that most people below the age of 20 are A.D.D and almost all people
are in someway obsessive about things being done in a certain way just because everyone
everywhere either has always done the task that way or is told that is the only way it can be
done making the person want to challenge or accept it as truth.

>> [_] Anonymous 10/20/12(Sat)09:39 No.1789355

I'd masturbate with or without porn, so whatever.

>> [_] Anonymous 10/20/12(Sat)09:53 No.1789357

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I watch a lot of porn, that's for sure. The porn I watch has
become increasingly extreme, and that's obviously because I've become desensitized to "normal"
porn. But I'm not suffering from depression, I don't have ED, and I'm not on a bunch of
  medication because of internet porn.

I probably am addicted to porn, but I don't really see a reason why I shouldn't be. I don't have
anything to gain by NOT being addicted. The other example in the video was food addiction, and
how it leads to obesity. That's a real, tangible problem caused by addiction, but I don't think
there's an equivalent to internet porn addiction.

Two things: A) People use extreme cases to get their points across, and B) The video would argue
that you will eventually get ED (even if you don't have it now), but I'm guessing the real gain
from "NOT being addicted" is more time? Even so, the video made a statement of not being able to
see the benefits until after the fact, so take that as you will.

  porn addiction?

This is a stupid analogy. Sex can enhance a relationship because it provides mutual pleasure, but
sexual pleasure and emotional love are still two separate entities. There's no "nutritional
value" of sex; your body doesn't really give a shit where you get it from.

As long as you're able to distinguish porn from real life and don't let masturbation encroach on
your work, relationships and responsibilities, you don't have to worry.

We're talking about porn related ED here. Did you watch the video? I, for example can't see
myself getting it hard with a real girl and I've felt like this before seeing the video.

I also have other symptomps (depression, bad memory & focus) introduced in the video. However, I
think it's too good to be true if these are caused by porn. On the other I got nothing to lose
and started "nofap" (again) today. What are the odds this video get's posted the same day...

>> [_] Anonymous 10/20/12(Sat)13:04 No.1789422

this is probably one of the most important discussions to happen on 4chan in a long time. I'm
glad the OP posted this complete and utter bullshit.

First of all, porn is not bad. Porn is good. It prevents rape and PUAs.

Second of all, trying to do porn in real life is bad.

Third of all, ED is a vascular problem, or a psychological one. Both causes are reversible.

Fourth of all, you really only need to masturbate once a day, guys. Come on, we aren't all
destined to become mating studs on a jerkoff farm. When you've spurted your load for the day,
you're done until tomorrow. Keep yourself to this limitation and you'll be happier.

  >We're talking about porn related ED here
What's your definition of ED? If you can still get an erection, just not for certain sexual
imagery, does that count as ED?

The video doesn't clarify, and I don't know what they're exactly trying to say. If you can jerk
off to bondage porn, but can't get hard from a naked girl right in front of you, is that ED? If
that's the case, who decides what should and shouldn't be giving you erections?

I must have had some form of ED since I was 12, since it was about that time that I stopped
getting hardons just from seeing women in short skirts and bikinis.

You just said porn isn't a problem. If that's true why should you impose limitations? Why resist
the urge to ejaculate and deny myself the pleasure if it's harmless?

>> [_] Anonymous 10/20/12(Sat)13:25 No.1789428

porn isn't a problem, but jerking off more than twice or three times a day will lead to
physiologic burnout. It's difficult to quantify how much porn is "safe" but it's easy to quantify
ejaculations and the toll they take.
The claim is the damage from porn comes from simply watching it (clicks) to cause dopamine
surges. But as others in this thread have astutely pointed out, there are all kinds of dopamine
stimulating addictive processes people have, of which porn is just one kind. Addiction is
unhealthy but not all addiction leads to ED.
Beating your meat again and again will literally destroy the vasculature over time. It's similar
to how chronic deep venous thrombosis causes vascular insufficiency over time. Look it up.

This is fairly valid. People always solemnly shake their heads and get teary eyed and think of
the all american life, but its actually very mundane and complacent existence. Holding a 40 hour
a week job, having a wife and kid, a car, watching NFL on the weekend, etc. couldn't possibly be
more depressing to me. Those people are cattle.

I'm submerged in a sea of information that would take 100 lifetimes to achieve for someone in the
ancient world. The norm doesn't exist, and those who value it only are seeking validation for
  their lifestyle.

Do your own thing. Life can be amazingly beautiful and amazingly horrible, many times for the
exact same reasons. In the face of that we should all do our own thing.

>> [_] Anonymous 10/20/12(Sat)14:45 No.1789466

I see truth in this, im SO picky with females now, and the ones that i am 'meh' about but still
try to have a one nighter with
it doesnt happen, my penis wont pop. so i could see it being true. also if i dont get off after
awhile i just get bored, and that is fucked up when a girl is still ready.
So yes i think slowing down is good, me and close friends have talked about "WTF is wrong with
me". im sure we have all had those. cool post op
