You can only increase a class skill as you level up. They can't be gotten from spellbooks. Necromancers now get Bone Armor. They also now get totems, which work differently from spellbooks. Wizards now get Quicken Spell. Bards get Charm Foe. Mounted classes get Valor while roguelike classes get Scoundrel's Luck All are passives that have very powerful effects, which are potentially game-breaking unless I've balanced them correctly. It needs to scale up to exp u get from monsters. Killing things that get OVER 9000 exp, but I do a quest turn in and only get a few hundred exp and just a few gold? The rewards actually used to be higher but I toned them down some time ago to enhance Sixth Sense. Right now I'd like feedback for all these new ideas, though. An item's quality determines its value. I've just purposely kept the amount of gold you get low, because that makes charisma more useful. Try a bard and you'll be flying through gear, getting magical things while others are still fighting with wooden swords. Also, discovered a bug: if playing a pre-2.0 character, enemies won't attack correctly due to the changes I've made to the battle system and class skills being undefined instead of 0 for old characters. >> [_] Anon 1381137 Now I like knights and all, but Valor is seriously too good. At around level 11-12 the enemies start dodging a knight's hits so much Valor isn't all that. Kind of a strange ability for a knight to have, would have fit a rogue better. >> [_] Anon 1381154 I think Scoundrel's luck is bugged.
