I bought a Sega Genesis 20 years ago and it runs like a charm. I have such a large library for it
that I still play it to this day and I do not get bored of it. On top of that it's one function
is to play video games, nothing more or less.
The computer functions as much more than a gaming station and therefore has to keep up with the
rest of technology as it expands and improves.
Now we can think of this. Back in 2008 I bought a PS3 and still own it now. Every year new games
are released for the PS3 and some are eventually ported to the PC. And I bought GTA IV for my
Playstaton back in 2008. Its been 5 years since then and while I don't own GTA V yet, I can rest
assured knowing that even after 5 years I can pickup a copy of GTA V for my PS3 and it will run
smoothly. But had you owned a top of the line PC back then, it may only run GTA V on medium or
minimum settings now. Forcing you to upgrade for the latter or suffer lag.

Here is a fun fact. I have every GTA released on PC. 1, london 1969, gta 2, gta 3, vice city, san
andread and 4. 5 will most likely be on the way soon.
There are only 2 GTAs you can play on the PS3, 4 and 5, you cant play the older games on the PS3,
and when the 4 comes out its not backwards compatible. Your games are stuck on that console, and
with the high failure rate of the last generation thats a real problem when it becomes impossible
to play your games because your console failed and is no longer supported.
My upgrades are just that, upgrades. not a whole new format change, not a new system with a
different architecture. Not buying into a whole new system has its perks you know.

pricing of xbone and PS4, it would be more feasable to buy a barebones kit and put in the modules.
PCs have their problems with gaming and so do consoles. It drives me nuts when you guys argue
about with console or system is better. They all have their niche with pros and cons... ...
except Xbox360...I just see nothing going for it compared to the consoles & handhelds of it's
generation but it of course has some excusive games to it.

I REALLY wish I could play Elona on my PS3 :\ It's one of my favorite RPGs and it has shit
graphics. Hell, I think that's what makes a lot of things more possible in games. Terraria,
Minecraft, Elona, etc. Putting more focus on graphics means they would have to change the game
entirely to stitch it together and lose focus on the gameplay aspect
