What, was I supposed to take it seriously?
Every line was a strawman. They are creating false presumptions and then pretending to create a
legitimate inversion.
You can give me any two lines and I will show you. One lines is typically a standard that men
expect women to have, for the sake of argument lets assume that this is true;
>If you try to protect women from the rat-race you are a chauvinist.
>If you stay home and do housework, you are pansy.
Ignoring that these aren't equivalent options, lets just dissect the first part.
Trying to "protect" a girl by not letting her work is indeed chauvinistic. If a person wants to
work for a living why shouldn't they? Is it really so strange to not want to be smothered into
staying away from the big-bad world?
As for being a "pansy" for staying home, that seems like something male macho culture would put
forward. Plenty of women would be happy to have a stay at home dad and have good careers.

>>2220953
...Just like plenty don't mind staying home themselves. It should be common sense that its up to
the person themselves to make their own damn life decision and to be honest with expectations
when in a relationship with another person.
Basically you can do this with every single line in the flash. And in general its more like "stop
caring what people who don't matter think", "honestly discus what you expect from your partner",
"don't try to control each other" ect.
Why the fuck do we have to pretend there is an men vs women dynamic, its an problem with the
entire human race.

thats how a womyn would look at this add another to the list
>if a woman points out double standards she is defending her gender against the evil men
>if a man points out double standards he is wrong, oversimplifying, or making strawmen (i believe
the word they like to use is "privileged" wich ironically only they are "privileged" to use)

>making more strawmen
If a woman is pointing out a double-standard, she had better not direct it towards men or else
she's just as wrong, and if it is as poorly thrown together as this flash she is an equally
retarded cunt.
Never said anything about privilege.

but he is correct as to how i got my assumptions and i thank him for answering in my absence
and yes several of your points do stand but are still flawed such as this one
>As for being a "pansy" for staying home, that seems like something male macho culture would put
forward
that is something culture itself puts forward not just macho male culture
i do agree with your final point that there is no men vs. women dynamic that it is people in
general but you did prove my point entirely that any time a male would try to point out
inconsistencies or double standards that he is called on out supposed bullshit simply because he
is defend men rather then women (or not even defending even just implying *gasp* equality)

A huge problem in the feminist discourse is just that—us versus them. It's why so many feminists
are wrong about things like rape culture and [conservatives?] are wrong about equality. A lot of
these tumblr feminists don't quite understand that feminism is just a specific flavour of
humanism; there is no us or them—there's just us. There's no such thing as "women/men's issues,"
but there are human issues. While serious social critics and feminist philosophers acknowledge
that, and would never entertain the "battle-of-the-sexes," tumblr feminists don't get it. The
sex/gender conflict only exists when you decide it exists—it's like the bogeyman. It's an
invented struggle, created by people who are strong neither in wit nor character, to try and
assert their identity. It's an identity crisis that takes the form of social theory.

The point is, kids, don't give a fuck about what everyone else calls you. Discuss with the one
you love what what it is that you two want, but be fair between yourselves, don't give in to
stereotypical shit and do whatever it is you two want.
