I didn't realize what the goal was though, so that finding that out made the game more of a puzzle, which was nice. >> [_] Lockwert !nnIgGerRZ. 04/18/14(Fri)23:11 No.2355372 >>2355362 I get your point but I'd say the premises are different I didn't finish the game you posted yet, but just by seeing it I'd say it's some sort of sudoku. This game I posted is somewhat a new concept to puzzling, a basic concept that could be worked on. But it's so simple the challenge actually comes in finding it out yourself. The stimulus can be gotten on the first board exchange. You see the symbols, you understand what creates them, and you can basicaly understand how to make your job easir since it's the only actual thing you can do. >> [_] Anonymous 04/18/14(Fri)23:22 No.2355382 I have to say I liked this, it may seem like the game is lacking directions but I think that any sort of clues would cheapen the fun of figuring out what you are supposed to be doing. >> [_] Anonymous 04/18/14(Fri)23:45 No.2355403 you're trying to simplify the board by using the least number of combinations of 4 squares as possible very stupid it's not like a clever game that takes you a while to "get it". there's nothing to really get, it's just silly. >> [_] Anonymous 04/18/14(Fri)23:49 No.2355408 Pretentious. >> [_] Lockwert !nnIgGerRZ. 04/18/14(Fri)23:49 No.2355409 >>2355403 People in this >>2355334 archived thread didn't think the same way Nor people in this thread to be honest. For a while, it seemed like it might be about getting as many different shapes as possible, but it looks like the opposite was true. The former does make it easier to achieve the latter, though. When you have eight possible tiles, it's a lot easier to pick out the same combination in all of them. >> [_] Anonymous 04/19/14(Sat)00:27 No.2355436 I think I might have been here for the original thread. I think Puzzlescript was a way to allow fans to pursue these concepts on their own. Knowing him, it's probably because making a full-fledged game out of a clever concept is not trivial, and requires care in designing that he doesn't have time to invest, to ensure that the concept isn't ruined or lost. |
