>> [_] Anon 2590228 The follow-up was more entertaining than the "comedy".
>> [_] !T6/TripFag 2590229 >># Went about how I expected it to. Hard drives are precise shit. Everything else had no electric current run through it to short.
>> [_] Anon 2590266 Looks like Marty Chang's backyard. Fun fact: hard drives have little holes that allow them to equalize the pressure inside. They have filters on them, but they'll definitely let water in.
>> [_] Anon 2590362 >># Fucking this.

>> [_] Anon 2556808 hammer solves everything
>> [_] Anon 2556820 >># So I can do this using a HDD?
>> [_] Anon 2556822 Why didn't this win a Nobel prize?
>> [_] T 2556843 >># I can't be the only one who works at IT and fuck with old XP machines that are thrown out by businesses.
>> [_] Anon 2556897 Wasn't surprised by anything in the video. The only component that should fail from submersion would be a hard drive. The water will actually get inside certain areas of the disk and this will render it unusable. Everything else is fine to be in contact with water, it's got a protective spray on film coating, and there was no electricity involved in this situation (he removed the CMOS battery)
>> [_] Anon 2556904 >># Some people don't know that until they try.
>> [_] Anon 2556927 >># So water CAN destroy hard drives? is effective?
>> [_] Anon 2556948 >># Good upload, I'm impressed with the results.

>> [_] Anon 2556956 >># just microwave it anyway to be safe

>> [_] Anon 2250272 That wasn't funny and his deadpan comedy fell flat, but it was an interesting video none the less. 7/10 would watch again
>> [_] Anon 2250298 Obviously that the HD don't will work again. Everything else is just solid like parts, but the HD is like a toy, that are made of parts and have a empty space in the middle, what in the HD is literally, nothing, unless the Disc and some shit.
>> [_] Anon 2250337 >># I liked it, wasn't expecting the computer to be filled with earth. He made it seem viable up until he more or less tossed the computer into the water, the hammer strokes felt like he was putting some realism into it, instead of simply trashing the computer as is the norm for a cheap laugh.
>> [_] Chollux 2250364 woulda' worked if he had an SSD instead of a hard drive
>> [_] Anon 2250369 back in the day, my buddies used a forklift to ram into a CRT monitor. Darn monitor almost damaged the tines. Another time, we took a hammer to a hard drive. Them things is hard enoght to be armor plating for shotgun duels
>> [_] Anon 2250419 everything was made of the hardest metal in the universe; possibly the hardest metal known to man: diamonds. except the hard drive. that was made of flimsy polonium

>> [_] Anon 2207456 >># >being this new
>> [_] Anon 2207485 >># drowning a computer won't kill it i actualy had a flood a few years back and one of my old pc tower in the basement was submerged for shits and giggles i took the time to clean all the parts and left it to dry for 2-3 months it worked fine after that
>> [_] Anon 2207486 LOL HE WREKD THAT COMPUTER AND STEPPED ON IT XD IM GONNA SHOW THIS TO ALL MY FRENDS Seriously, how are these things still funny?
>> [_] Anon 2207489 that is one dirty mutha board alright, i did laugh
>> [_] Anon 2207537 >># Someones gotta keep this website alive
>> [_] Anon 2207550 I cleaned my motherboard with denaturant.
>> [_] Anon 2207555 >># Thank you based Marty
>> [_] Anon 2207556 >># I think the water can severely fuck up a magnetic platter on a HD. Other than that I don't see why it would fuck up electrical components with no charge running through them as long as you let them dry.
