  Of course mate:

  >Mod Monetization Madness

Mostly the audio that's important but it's more comfortable to watch on the tube. I sure wish we
weren't still stuck with 10 MiB here on /f/.

exactly, it was interesting, but the choppiness was getting to me, thanks

Yeah, so we can all post 15 minutes long videos! Or even more.

  He repeats himself often.
This video could have been four times shorter.

I always thought Valve's biggest embarrassment would have been it's user base,

i believe zero of what he said was anything new to actual gamers anyway.

however, if it had been any shorter or less clear about what means what it could not be that well
understood by people not familiar with modding community and the whole impact of monetarization.

The hassle of downloading the video from YouTube, converting it, embedding it and uploading it
here would still serve as the same quality filter we have today on /f/. Increasing the file size
limit wouldn't increase the amount of embedded videos we get here. There would only be benefits:
Better quality for videos and many, many more non-video flashes being posted (probably mostly
pornographic but also some non-pornographic flashes as well).

  >>2828649
Yeah, that's kind of the point.

The video wasn't for people who play games. They already know all this shit.

>> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)22:17:34 No.2828723

Surprised theirs not a lot of buthurt valve fanboys here. Also greenlight has become this also.

  >>2828638
Agree. Valve can never do anything wrong cause reasons.

It's important to not forget that Valve has done this. People praise Valve so much but after this
it's clear that they have just gotten too big. To try to release this system just like that, with
no warm-up or proper research, is clear proof that they think they can do whatever they want. How
they could not foresee any issues with content being stolen and copyrights being violated I will
  never understand.

I believe they implemented the new and awesome return policy system because of this massive
failure. To try and make people forget about the modding fiasco. It's good that something good
came out of it but it's important that we realize that near-monopoly isn't a good thing.

Taking a 75% cut from virtual goods (like they do for hats sold in Dota) is also ridiculous, I
believe it's important that people keep bringing it up to make more aware of it since Valve tries
to hide as much of their inner workings as possible.

Confirmed for leftist marxist bullshit. Free-market capitalism works fine. If you want it some
  other way, go to Cuba.

I heard it was because of a lawsuit (one that they were going to lose) in Europe and Australia.
They had to make a return system, so they released it to Burgerland as well.

Bethesda approached Valve with the idea.

Bethesda is the mastermind behind all of this, yet only Valve is the one being burned at the
  stake.

Bethesda were the ones that pushed DLC with their horse armor bullshit for Oblivion.

Bethesda is the root of all evil.
