The game won't let you fight if you can't beat the monster. Get more HP, attack and so on.

Keypad arrowkeys...2 is down, 8 is up.
For newcomers, you can get epic experience/gold by saving before you attack a monster (S),
attacking the monster, and pressing A to load the save before you kill it. The game will glitch
and you'll still be in combat with the monster, but when you beat it it'll still be on the map,
allowing you to safely level up. Press S after the battle to save your experience. Note that you
have to have access to the blue statue or blue wizard to actually increase your stats.
Don't press Q or R. They stand for Quit and Restart.

Why the fuck can't I fight the monsters in level 9?
>> [_] Anonymous 09/23/09(Wed)16:14 No.1078868
Also, some monsters give you the experience and gold of the last monster you fought. You can use
this to your advantage by killing something strong but with good loot, then using the save
exploit to attack a weaker monster but gaining the same experience. Bats are an early example.
When you make it to the blue wizard around floor 13, the knights standing next to him also do
this.

I'm at level 13 and stats in the few hundreds, and I don't have anything to kill left in the
other floors.

Then you're screwed. Restart time.

wow...they even fucked up the first level of the tower. There is no second staircase.

Now THAT's some goddamn bullshit.

I played this once through, got to the last boss, and wasn't healed up and shit (you can't leave
the room once you're in). Stuck in last room, fuck that game.
>> [_] Anonymous 09/23/09(Wed)17:20 No.1078931
How the hell are you supposed to to open the door on the 2nd floor? I opened every door, got
every item, and beat the game without opening that damn door.
>> [_] Anonymous 09/23/09(Wed)18:20 No.1078979
Protip:
Save, fight a monster, immediately load as soon as you enter battle.
Repeat.
Allows you to fight a monster without making it disappear.
>> [_] Anonymous 09/23/09(Wed)19:40 No.1079061
You shouldn't have to rely on exploits to win. The game is easy enough without them.

It disappears after you get a certain item. I think it's the cross guarded by the cyclonian
bastards who chop off a percentage of your HP at the start of the battle, one of the mid-lower
floors.
