Try leaving it on for a week. >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)17:18 No.1085686 If i remember the correctly, they guy made this script to make the best vehicle fastest possible. As you can see, after a while it learns that the wheels should be at the bottom and where the center of gravity is best positioned. It picks the best vehicle out of 20 and tries variations with that. At some point after a few hours it more or less reaches perfection because of the time limit. If the time limit wasn't there, it would probably evolve a little further, but it would take a lot longer. >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)17:25 No.1085690 You can control it a bit with your arrow keys >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)17:49 No.1085708 >>1085690 nice try failtroll >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)18:22 No.1085721 you can zoom in and out using your scroll wheel at least >> [_] Dr Katz Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)19:04 No.1085745 neat >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)19:22 No.1085761 green line = average of all runs (or of each set of 20)? black line = best run so far? seems like it never gets past that one very steep hill (you know the one) >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)19:48 No.1085774 >>1085663 Someone posted this on /f/ a while ago, just for us. it IS a genetic algorithm. It attempts to get to the end without flipping or letting the red spheres touch the ground. At the start it tries 20 random creations, then it picks the fastest/farthest one and modifies that slightly a bunch of times, etc, etc. It's fun to watch. >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)20:47 No.1085828 >>1085708 You really can move it a bit while it is in the air, so stfu. >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)20:55 No.1085832 Blue circles are (obviously) the wheels, while the red circles are, what I think, the balance. >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)21:05 No.1085840 >>1085828 Truth. >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)21:11 No.1085847 Arrows control the balance a bit i.e. the one slope that none of the things can EVER get past on their own, CAN make it past it if you hold the left arrow a bit before it drops down, but then it seems to jut restart on its own, without any of the red spheres touching the ground >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)21:15 No.1085856 >>1085708 faggot >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)21:19 No.1085862 holy shit mine just got a third wheel >> [_] Anonymous 10/03/09(Sat)21:20 No.1085865 actually pretty cool |
