the tags clearly show she's in zero gravity but she's not strapped down and her hair seems to be
behaving as if it's in gravity.

Spacefaring will be pretty miserable until they figure out how to simulate gravity. At least it
will be if you don't like your muscles, and bones withering.
>> [_] Anonymous 04/03/16(Sun)10:23:05 No.3054832
>>3054829
That is trivial to do.
There is already equations for simulated gravity to prevent sickening feelings due to the
difference in apparent gravity from head to toe.
From what I remember, you need a space station with diameter in triple digit meters.
Forgot the exact size.
And yes, it is exactly the same. Gravity and Acceleration are completely the same thing to the
body. When you get to those triple digits, the rotational effects become nil.
The issue is it would be too expensive for NASAs shitty little budget, and ESA.
The only ones with any hope of doing it would be China.
They should use all that cheap steel they have for it instead of pumping it in to other markets
to crash them, fucking idiots.

It's probably not economically feasible to ship the materials, in finished or unfinished form,
from Earth, no matter who's doing the shipping. Even the small Stanford Torus recommended by NASA
(I describe it as small because the planned size would be to support 4,000 as opposed to 10K or
more as the original idea intended) is a massive structure. Pretty much all plans that I know of
are based on building a mining base on the Moon and shooting the materials to the Colony site,
probably in L2 orbit.

Also highly infeasible just because of how physics works.
>> [_] Anonymous 04/03/16(Sun)12:20:07 No.3054877
>>3054870
It wouldn't be feasible now.
But if it is being used in conjunction with space mining, which is already well on its way now,
it would be an investment.
Of course, governments don't know anything about long-term investments.

Rotation of the earth coupled with frictional drag would shear the fuck out of any
low-orbit-connected structures. Expensive as hell, too. Unless somebody figures out how to make
unbreakable materials, we're still stuck using chemical launches to get shit into orbit.

actually we're pretty lucky to live now, a few billion yeas from now galaxies are going to be
past our horizon due to the expansion of space
