To be completely honest, if you're someone who feels that they need a god to believe in and feel
that they want to sure pure devotion to a higher power, it's probably one of the best religions
out there. But from my perspective, I couldn't stand it and could easily get kicked out of my
house if I tried telling my parents how bullshit some of the teachings are.

No this faggot, but I was raised around JW most of my childhood.
It all started with my deranged grandmother considering becoming a JW because she failed at
everything else in her life. She had a strong resentment against everything and was insane,
abrasive, and was an enabler for everything that should be considered wrong with religion. My
mother, which my father had zero part of, wanted us to take part in it since she was raised
around it and thought it would be good for our health and well-being. Obviously, it wasn't. Being
a Jehova's Witness is the worst kind of thing: You're brainwashed, lied to, and forced to comply
with their rules or you're exiled based on the leader's preference, regardless of redemption or
severity.
We would go 2-3 times a week and sit through a sermon where they would quote the new testament
and try to reform everyone's life around it. People were asked questions and were answered with
how they should've acted instead. After a few songs(terrible ones at that), we would be told to
distribute literature and convert others.
The problem with this is that they simply want followers and donations. The government subsidizes
them based on certain variables and their organization profits. They're willing to say/do
anything that would convince people that they need to reform their life, basically whitewashing.
You will be lied to, manipulated, and serve an empty purpose that will rob you of your valuable
time on this planet.
My elder was even known for concealing and protecting child-molesters/abusers and possibly even
worse shit, but never convicted. Most people there simply went to absolve themselves of any guilt
or punishment. Leading people into a constant state of denial and fear is what they want because
they profit from it.
I never became a witness. Still thankful that I could see past that bullshit.

The fag from earlier here. Pretty much this, but didn't feel like going into detail. My parents
are a bit on the easier side, but it definitely makes life a lot more annoying with it being in
the way. As mentioned, I can't really speak up against it in fear of being kicked out of my
house. It really does make me sick though seeing all of the little kids doing demonstrations that
weren't able to see through it. But I guess from their perspective, it's normal and right.
