Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not but the white-washing faggotry is beyond retarded. One
of the themes of GITS is the ambiguity of the soul and the meaninglessness of the body when
technology has made the former portable. "Major Motoko Kusanagi" is a cyborg. The ghost
inhabiting it could have been a man, a woman, white, black, yellow, green, or purple. To call
white washing on a character who 1: looks white to begin with and 2: is basically the driver of
whatever cyborg body he/she/it chooses to inhabit is just stupid as fuck. Really it's just
typical activism; the idiots see something and react to it without bothering to understand the
context.

which means if they stuck to the original plot formula it should be somewhat good, then they got

The movie is going to suck because the story will inevitably be dumb and ScarJo is a dumb action
movie actress, which points to the kind of movie it's going to be from the get-go.

Um I think you'll be more disappointed in the story than the people who are playing the
characters.
I expect many-a weeaboo to cry themselves to sleep the same day they see the steaming pile of
shit hollywood has managed to hold onto before rushing to the trough of running water to dispose
of it to the masses.
No amount of marketing, PR or money will make up for the giant stinky dump they place in the
movie theater.

No, actually her calling her "the major" gave me hope. In all the synopsis's I've seen, her
character is called "Major", haven't once seen her refered to as Motoko Kusanagi. At least her
calling her "the" makes me think it might be Motoko and not some spin-off character.
Honestly, from the clip I saw today, it doesn't look like the worst GITS installment ever. But
I'm not getting my hopes up.
But among several major concerns, my tiny preference is that they went with long-haired Batou :/
either way, I think Asbaek was a great choice for casting, has a very similar facial structure to
the original character.

also, don't care about movie but Motoko was the part Rila Fukushima was born to play. think she's
playing some side character. Sad!
