Boy, demands sure went low at this point. Sure it's a nice little game with little effort and
good outcome, but man, it's literally rolling dices. And it's even rigged in the enemy's favor.

What are you talking about? RNGfest=/=probability management, which is the point of this game.
The idea is to come up with an approach to average risk and space movement which expedites your
board dominance, and additional strategy is added by the possibility of high-level dice stacks
far from other dice controlled by the same player, bating the opponent, and setting up for paths
of decreasing numbers which you can take out without being flanked by larger enemy stacks once
the moving stack is depleted. There is luck, but the amount of time that luck comes up
more-or-less evens the odds for players in the long run. If don't win at least three-forths of
the time against these CPUs, you're doing something wrong.
That being said, the game doesn't work at all in 2-player, so I don't know why they included it.

everything you said is true, but the deciding factor is at the end RNG, which is never a really
good game design, as it's just saying "ahh fuck defining specifics, just put in numeric values
that represent everything that we can play against each other".
Back in the day technology wasn't advanced enough to handle encounters (in RPGs f.e.) any other
way (and still feature some probability that isn't the same battles everytime), but today - there
isn't much excuse for building your system around pseudo-random chances, apart from that being
  really easy to implement
I didn't say it was GACHASHIT, but still, calling it brilliant game design just goes too far imo.

  >Brilliant game design.
Fuck it, I'll bite this bait. Strategy doesn't matter if your 3 dice roll loses to 1 die rolls by
the opponent everytime. Stop trying to act like this shit is fair and has any deeper meaning than
rolling fucking dice, you absolute retard. Never post here again.

I see what you're saying, but the reason I called it brilliant was that it was the best simple
stats-management risk-vs-reward sort of game I've seen, as well as for it's IRL replicability. It
was more for its very well-executed novelty than anything else, since I imagine making such a
minimalist game which still feels entirely fresh is very difficult; I could very easily see this
being a staple of gambling halls in some far-off world. To each his own, I guess.

Don't call shit b8 if it's obviously not supposed to be from the way it's written.
But that aside, it's risk management. if you and your opponent roll enough dice, it statistically
evens out (although the board in the flash is to small and randomized, which skews this). Do you
think people get good win rates in games of netdecked MTG at a pro level via pure chance?

>> [_] Anonymous 04/26/19(Fri)11:46:16 No.3388793

  >>3388792
Oh, and the way the randomized startup positions are selected isn't enough to be impartial, but
that's part of the aforementioned randomized board problem

How new are you? These threads always go to the gutter cause of a few retards protect this game
like it has any deeper meaning than getting into a corner, geting 8 dice and just waiting for the
opponent to attack and fail, just to get their territory one step at a time. Everyone knows how
dumb this shit is. The game was not made to show any good mechanics anyhow. It was made to show
how low the filesize could get while still having an "enjoyable" game. I seriously hope you're
just baiting for free replies and I'm being dumb with replying. You are not getting anymore free
replies from me. Go be dumb somewhere else and never post here ever again.

>> [_] Anonymous 04/26/19(Fri)11:50:06 No.3388795

  >These threads always
  This is a common thing?
But the game does have a lot of potential if you removed the confounding elements, regardless of
what the author intended; Tetris was created for a similarly arbitrary, computing-related reason.
Basically all the issues you're addressing are one's I've previously addressed. It's not the
flash I'm saying is good, with its retarded CPUs and randomized board which will inevitably favor
one side or another, it's the core gameplay's potential as a multiplayer game.
  Also why the flaming?

If y'all wanna play a game that relies on actual strategy and some luck, but no RNG and no dice,
try Diplomacy, there's a bunch of sites online. It's like Risk, but better and for the true

Just checked 4plebs and it seems every time this flash's been posted, at least under the file
names dicewars and dice wars, it's full of people praising the game, claiming that the computer
cheats and that it's impossible to use strategy, or complaining about the same things I am. What
the fuck are you talking about retard.

I don't see why you guys are having so much trouble strategizing. I win almost every match. The
largest aspect usually ends up being the map creation and unit placement though. The AI is pretty
easy to overcome even then though.
