I'm glad that someone like Creambee is still making stuff in Flash despite official support having ended. >> Anonymous 28may2022(sa)18:13 No.89816 C P4R3 >>89800 Every creator who still values the interactivity in his animation does. If you're straight up just making a movie, you can release that as mp4, but learning a whole nother coding language just to make a character selection screen? If you worked a decade in flash, you'd just continue flash as well. And everyone who can't be arsed to download a projector to look at it might not be considered core audience anyway. >> Anonymous 31may2022(tu)03:37 No.90825 D P5R4 Learning something like Python isn't too hard. The real issue is that flash is the only engine I know of that has a huge focus on animation tools with coding. The closest engine is probably Godot, but that makes .exe files. Downloading random .exe files is asking for a bit too much. >> Anonymous 1jun2022(we)12:29 No.90836 E P6R5 cool >> Anonymous 9jul2022(sa)09:35 No.91213 F P7R6 V0.3.0 is out btw >> --- 10aug2022(we)21:13 No.91502 A P8R7 >>91213 as 3.2 and its still same >> Anonymous 1sep2022(th)20:38 No.91780 G P9R8 >>89816 Learning a programming language once you already know one is pretty easy Also, flash is pretty simple to understand and provides freedom to artists on a level and simplicity I haven't seen in any other program >> Anonymous 5sep2022(mo)19:25 No.91808 C P10R9 >>91780 Idk, maybe a lot of artists still use AS2 which I wouldn't consider knowing a programming language. Even AS3 is debatable in comparison to actual gaming engines. As you said, flash is a lot easier while still providing all kind of features. If you're not into game development but primarily an artist, you'd still use flash. But then again, losing 99% of your target audience because they are tech illiterate is probably too much to ask for. |
