>> [_] Anon 1075878 Just beat this. The only way you're going to win is to raise your defense and your strength (the second and third choices with the statues). For the men in blue, choose the first option: it raises your level, raising your HP, strength and defense. If your defense is higher than an enemy's strength, you cannot be injured by that enemy. Likewise, an enemy cannot be injured if you do not have more strength than they have defense. Tip: leave at least 100-150 gold (or points, I can't read what it is) in both columns below your strength and defense. You will need to buy keys for a short while. BIG tip: SAVE BEFORE YOU GO UP THE FINAL STAIRCASE ON LEVEL 20. It traps you there and you can't warp out, so if you're low on HP or anything else, you'd be fucked if you hadn't saved before then.

The options, in order, are: heal, increase attack, increase defense, close box (so you only have to scroll to the bottom and spacebar to close it). Press L to see the stats of the enemies on a floor (you may have to pick up that sword on the lower left of floor 3 first). In general, you need a higher attack than the enemy's defense to attack, or you'll just bounce off (can't even enter combat)...although it seems there may be something more (I have over 100 attack, and I can't hit the red winged things that have 90 defense).
