I know some people have monstrous resolutions, but is the trade-off of shitty looking bitmaps vs. small flashes in big windows worth it? >> [_] Anonymous 06/21/10(Mon)20:02 No.1296036 >>1296017 Don't use bitmaps? >> [_] Anonymous 06/21/10(Mon)20:11 No.1296046 >>1296036 Bitmaps are critical to high-speed animation. Vector movie clips are fuck slow. I have 100 objects that I want to animate, and can either have 100 movieclips at less than 8 fps... or about 5 bitmap areas with a handful of .pngs loaded into memory, and redraw them with 40-50 fps. So speed and quality matter. |
